James Van Bramer, Managing Editor
James Van Bramer is a senior majoring in Political Science and minoring in Digital Media & Journalism. Van Bramer spends his time hosting the virtual Times Talks with John Jay Professor Greg Donaldson, along with the group’s weekly book club. In addition, he has several published articles outside of the campus publication.
After John Jay, Van Bramer hopes to be accepted into a journalism graduate program, aiming to be a reporter.
What’s your favorite book and why?
The Tender Bar by J.R. Moehringer
Moehringer’s story was instrumental in inspiring my inner writer and solidified my desire to become a reporter. His upbringing was very relatable, and minus his experience with bars, I resonated with his story more than any other book I’ve read.
